Each Best Western® branded hotel is independently owned and operated. The BEST WESTERN Inverness Palace Hotel is run by Milton Hotels Ltd a Scottish family run hotel company which has been in business since William & Mary Milton set the company up in 1965.
The roots of this hotel business are very much in delivering excellent highland hospitality and a very warm welcome from a friendly team. The business has come a long from its start with a small hotel business in Fort William back in the 1960’s to building up to it’s height of 6 hotels (Inverness, Fort William, Oban, Stirling and Glasgow) with Ian Milton. There are now 2 hotels within the group the Best Western Palace Milton Hotel & Spa & the Winston Milton Guest House. As a smaller highland hotel business in the city centre of Inverness our focus remains the same as the generations before us – delivering warm and friendly service to our guests. Mark Scobbie – General Manager – the best thing about the job is the diversity in that no day is ever the same. It’s also great to see the progress of colleagues as they improve and apply what they have learned to enhance a guests stay with us.
Samantha Mackenzie – Groups & Event Manager – I have worked my way up to Reception Supervisor, Reception Manager to my current position of Groups and Events Manager. I have enjoyed all the positions I have worked in as I love working with people and helping the guests to build lasting relationships. Contact Samantha.
Sarah Fenwick – Rooms Division Manager – Best part of my job – after all this time, I still love coming to work as no two days are the same. I have met many people from many countries over the years but I was lucky enough to experience this with some of the same work colleagues now friends I work with today.
