Golf in Inverness and Local Area
The passion for the golfing game can never be underestimated in the Scottish Highlands and that perhaps explains why some of Scotland’s most challenging, scenic and rewarding golf courses can be experienced around Inverness. Partner Courses
- Inverness Golf Course – in the city centre it is an excellent test of golf for all levels of player and a great alternative to the traditional links course.
- Nairn Dunbar – on the shores of the Moray Firth, founded in 1899, is a highly rated Scottish links championship course representing a formidable challenge for all golfers.
- Tain Golf Course – a traditional Highland links course. The Championship links enjoys spectacular views and benefits from a sheltered climate, which allows favourable golfing conditions for most of the year.
- Fortrose & Rosemarkie – a remarkable 18 challenging holes within the narrow Chanonry peninsula.
- Also Torvean Golf Course which is a parkland course and Loch Ness Golf Course are close to the Palace.
